It had been in the first ’80s that Cheb (meaning “youthful”) Khaled’s fortunes transformed, when he fulfilled up with manufacturer Rachid Baba Ahmed, who was simply revolutionizing the Raï type by introducing Traditional western electric equipment and studio methods.
